I haven't tested at other stats. Also my two builder EVs are either glass cannon or lumbering tank, so your EV will probably run the build just fine or better.

I personally use Plane's triple file emulator. For this build I used 4 wheeling jesters, with the one you control being an upgrader. It hurts to miss so many wheels, but at least you won't be punished too badly for it. This build expects you to land a little over half of your wheels for swords and potions, so not demanding in the wheeling aspect. Look through the imgur gallery for more details.
If you are going to die, it's because sharkens reached your wall and pushed them aside for the ogres to ruin your goblin dreams. That means bad placement of auras vs gas vs walls. The better the auras and gasses, the more leeway you have.
Placement of auras is probably not optimized as I haven't experimented with that.
For the 3 wheel-only jesters on the middle crystal, make sure you have them equipping monk, huntress, and app guardians. Since guardians override buff beams, a buff beam is redundant for the middle crystal.
Your upgrader jester will just fill up your middle crystal jesters to full mana at the beginning of the waves. That should last for the entire wave. Run around doing what you like with the upgrader. Once you upgraded whatever you wished to upgrade, just park that jester where you feel (i usually just do the middle crystal just because it's fairly calm there) and just wheel.
