10 Owl Nests at the bottom of the stairs. You'll only need the two closest chests located at Hint 2 to build everything and up the buff beam three times.
Start combat with only a Tower Booster at Hint 1 and aim at the east crystal to keep mobs off of it. Finish upgrading the buff beam during the wave while boosting. The Owl Nests do not need to be upgraded.
Bring in splits during Wave 19 for more owls.
Tip:
If you have your builder EV and Guardian as part of the characters that automatically come in, then you can have them out right away for building when you restart for farming owls again.
